Briones Archers - Club Info

Our 42 target range is located in Briones Regional Park, approximately 20 miles East of San Francisco, California between the towns of Orinda and Martinez.

Our club shoots are held on the 2nd Sunday of each month.
We shoot the standard NFAA Field, Hunter and Animal rounds.

Our work parties are held on the Saturday before our club shoot

Our general membership meetings are being held until October at 8:30 AM at the range on the Sunday of our club shoot.

Our annual Briones Big Game Open tournament is well attended by archers from throughout the state. This event features 42 McKenzie 3-D targets placed at marked distances in realistic wooded settings.

Our Monday night 3-D League runs from April thru August.
It features 15 3-D targets placed at unmarked distances in realistic conditions over challenging terrain.

Our annual Tri-Club Shoot with the Diablo Bowman and the Redwood Bowman is held in October, with the clubs alternating as hosts.

Our annual Awards Banquet is held in mid-January.

The members of the Briones Archers are solely responsible for maintaining our 30 acre facility. We contribute our time and efforts toward the target and range management programs and our hosted tournaments. Our club has a long history and we try to maintain what was given to us by our predecessors.

There is a full range of shooting styles within the club - from Traditional thru Freestyle.
A number of our members are NFAA and Bowhunter Education instructors and either participate in or hold regular classes in archery and bowhunting safety for adults and youth organizations.
